This position is available to youth ages 16–24 with government care experience.

Summer Soccer Camp Staff - Royal Soccer Club
For aged 16 or older by start of camp
Hours: Approximately 40-44 hrs/week, Monday to Friday
Wage: $480 - $700/week
The Royal Soccer Club (RSC) is a non-profit, community organization started in 1993. For over 20 years, we’ve hosted a unique soccer camp experience for over 200,000 boys and girls between ages 5 and 13 years. Our camp is now the largest grassroots soccer camp in Canada with over 90 locations in Ontario, Nova Scotia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Albert and British Columbia. The popularity of our camps is not only due to our program structure, but also because of the great staff we have. We will be looking to hire approximately 300 staff for all locations during July and August. Positions available include: Camp Counselor, Camp Supervisor, Regional Coordinator.
Responsibilities:
- supervising a group of 8-12 campers of a specific age range
- planning, organizing and teaching soccer skills and other games to campers
- ensuring a fun, safe environment for everyone
- set a good example for campers by being conscientious and supportive of club policies
- build relationships with each camper in your group and be aware of individual issues and needs
- participates in planning special events/activities for the group or whole camp
- assists supervisor and other staff in supervising and organizing activities for all campers including the afternoon daily swim.
- Staff MUST enter/supervise campers in the pool
- provide feedback to parents on a daily basis
Qualifications:
- aged 16 or older by start of camp
- athletic and good soccer experience
- great with children (ages 5 to 13 years)
- good communication skills
- team-oriented
- energetic and enthusiastic
- interest in teaching soccer to children
- motivational, creative
- problem solving skills
