Why start your kids on an exercise Program at early age? Research has shown that the percentage of overweight children in the North America is growing dramatically—about 1 out of every 3 children are now considered overweight or obese. As parents, how can we help our kids to avoid future health risks associated with our children being overweight and/or obese?
The first logical step is to set them up on a regular exercise program. Encouraging your children to be physically active is important at any age. In fact, children who are active at a young age tend to stay active later on as teens - and they have a lower risk of becoming obese, developing asthma, Type 2 Diabetes, hypertension, or developing heart disease. It would seem logical that getting your child on an exercise program should be a priority to ensure the health and happiness of your child.
